MAMEM participated in a very interesting networking session organised by the Recall FET Project that was triggered by the belief that memory augmentation technology provides the user with the experience of an extended and enhanced memory, but which is based on improvements in the collection, mining, and presentation of information to facilitate memory recall. A lot of interesting ideas where discussed ranging from the visualisation and controlling of memories so as to understand what needs to be visualised, how it is visualised and how this can be used to control one’s memories, all the way to the exploration of alternative cues, e.g. smell, touch and emotions. Check out the report that was kindly prepared and shared by the organisers.
