A Poster titled “Computer uses and difficulties in patients with Parkinson’s disease” was presented on Wednesday 22/06/2016 at the 20th International Congress of Parkinson’s disease and Movement Disorders in Berlin. The abstract of the poster has been published in the journal Movement Disorders,2016;Vol 31, Supplement S2, pp: S513.This issue is accessible on line for members and nonmembers of the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society free of charge.

The poster was displayed for a whole day and the presenting author was available for discussion for 90 minutes. It is worth mentioning that it attracted the interest of Neurologists specializing in Parkinson’s disease from different counties, particularly the USA. Our colleagues were interested in the questionnaires we used in the study and they were impressed with the difficulties of the PD patients in relation to the computer use and the importance of the computer in their lives. We took the opportunity to describe to them the MAMEM project in brief. During the conference we also distributed fliers for the MAMEM project to conference participants
