MAMEM makes available GazeTheWeb – Browse application

MAMEM and the Institute for Web Science and Technologies at University of Koblenz-Landau (WeST) makes available the first release of gaze controlled browsing through ‘GazeTheWeb – Browse’ application interface. The application is based on the Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF), and allows the users to operate a Web browsing environment using their eye movements. Essential features like tabbed browsing, scrolling, navigation and text input are functional in the current release. The application analyzes the DOM tree structure to parse and display custom eyeGUI overlay which enables direct interaction with the webpage. Various features and concepts have been assessed through early prototype developments, resulting a new architecture accessible in the current release. Hence, it features an extendable architecture to encompass future challenges of multi modal interaction.
